Why it matters

Why earn CMA?

Stronger salary negotiation

The CMA is a recognised lever in pay conversations, often qualifying holders for higher bands within corporate finance teams.

Move into management accounting

Gain the exact skill set needed to step beyond entry-level bookkeeping into roles focused on internal business performance.

Practical financial analysis

Build a solid foundation in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) so you can turn numbers into decisions leadership acts on.

Global professional credibility

A US CMA on your CV signals verified, standardised mastery of management accounting to recruiters worldwide.

Faster specialisation

For professionals not drawn to audit or tax, the CMA is the most direct route to specialise in corporate finance and cost management.

Wider job prospects

Many corporate finance roles list the CMA as a preferred qualification, helping your application clear the first screening.

FAQ

CMA — your questions answered

You need a bachelor's degree in any field, active IMA membership and two years of relevant professional experience. The degree and experience requirements can be completed within seven years of passing the exams, so you can start studying right away.

Most working professionals complete both parts in 6 to 9 months. Because we offer unlimited classes until you pass, you can move at a pace that suits your job and family commitments.

They serve different goals. The CMA is focused on management accounting and corporate finance inside companies, while ACCA is broader and audit/reporting-oriented. If your target is FP&A, cost management or a finance-manager track, the CMA is usually the more direct route. We're happy to advise on your specific goals in a consultation.

The IMA offers three testing windows each year: January–February, May–June and September–October. We plan your study schedule around the window you choose.

CMAs maintain their credential through continuing professional education (CPE) hours each year and ongoing IMA membership.

Yes. We offer instalment plans and will walk you through the options on your free consultation call.
